Convert Your Waste Into Rdf
Synergy Conversion provides complete medical waste management services with a range of products to ensure efficiency, cost minimization, and reduced environmental impact. From safe containment systems to innovative refuse-derived fuel technologies, Synergy Conversion is the perfect waste management partner for your hospital.
At Synergy Conversion, we specialize in refuse-derived fuel technology, an alternative method to traditional waste management that can reduce costs while positively impacting the environment.
Refuse-derived fuel technology converts’ last kilo’ wastes that cannot be sorted and/or recycled into an inert, sterile and odourless renewable energy source known as refuse-derived fuel (RDF).
RDF is an energy source produced from commercial and domestic waste, such as plastics, biohazardous waste, and biodegradable materials. It can be used as an alternative fuel source to fossil fuels or as bedding or filler for non-structural concrete.
In comparison to pre-treated and unsorted waste, RDF is entirely unrecognizable, odourless, and sterile. It is much lighter and smaller as the treatment process can reduce the weight by 50% and the volume by 80%. When vacuum-packed, RDF can be safely stored for over 90 days at room temperature with no risk of odour or bacteria proliferation.
Harnessing RDF technology for energy production has a tremendous positive impact on the environment. Unlike traditional recycling methods, the process of creating RDF can involve a wide range of materials, including non-recyclable waste that is often sent to landfills or incinerated. Adding RDF efforts to your hospital’s waste management strategy will ensure greater recycling of the generated trash in the facility, lower operation costs, and improve efficiency and environmental impact.
The Converter®H model series from Synergy Conversion brings refuse-derived technology to any hospital facility. This series is a modular, plug-and-play installation that is easy to set up and operate onsite. Using a completely mechanical process, the Converter®H is able to crush, sterilize, and treat all forms of medical waste in just 30 minutes.
The Converter®H series is risk-free and easy to use. It does not need a special licence for operation as it is designed to treat waste without the use of hazardous chemicals, microwaves, or combustion. It is also emission-free, with no risk of releasing toxic pollutants or contaminants into the atmosphere.
The Converter®H comes in eight different size models. The smallest model, Converter®H25, has a treatment chamber volume of 25 litres and can process 4 to 6kg of waste per hour, while the largest model, Converter®H5000, has a treatment chamber volume of 5000 litres and can process 500 to 600kg of hospital waste per hour. To determine which model is best for your facility, please get in touch with our team to learn more about the specifications of each Converter®H model.
Synergy Conversion also offers offsite waste treatment services to hospitals. Our in-house treatment plants receive, operate and transform mixed waste within a single plant in a clean and odourless environment. Incoming waste may be any unsorted and mixed waste variable in size and moisture content, including biological hazardous waste. Like our onsite Converter®, the final product produced is RDF and can be reused as an energy source.
Our team is fully trained to handle medical waste to protect you and our planet from toxins and pollutants. At the time of your scheduled pick-up appointment, you can expect our team to arrive at your hospital ready to collect sharps waste, biohazardous waste, plastics, or any other forms of waste efficiently and professionally.

Synergy Conversion has been a trusted waste management partner in the medical industry for years. We have the solutions, licensing and compliance expertise to ensure that all biohazardous medical waste is handled, transported, and disposed of safely and in compliance with stringent government regulations.
Biohazardous waste may include:
We offer durable biomedical waste bags that are puncture- and leak-resistant to keep your healthcare workers and patients safe from spillage, leakage, and cross-contamination. We can also process biohazardous waste via our onsite and offsite refuse-derived fuel technology to create a sterile, odourless, and renewable fuel source.
Our pharmaceutical waste collection systems are designed with your safety and security in mind. Our containers feature an inbuilt locking mechanism to mitigate the risk of tampering, theft, and unauthorized access to discarded pharmaceuticals. They also have a built-in seal to minimize infection risk and prevent accidental liquid leakage.
Waste is considered hazardous if it has the following characteristics: reactive, flammable, ignitable, corrosive, infectious, explosive, and poisonous. As a partner working with multiple healthcare facilities, Synergy Conversion provides expert advice on the safest and most effective collection, transport, and treatment options to minimize cost and environmental impact. With our expertise, you can rest assured that any generated hazardous waste is disposed of in compliance with the most stringent local and federal regulations.
Prescription medications and hazardous pharmaceutical materials can be dangerous to the environment and must comply with stringent disposal requirements. Synergy Conversion has developed an effective and efficient system so that your hospital facility has the correct quantity, size, and type of waste required. With expert advice from our experienced team, you can ensure that your waste disposal methods are streamlined to minimize costs and environmental impact.
